What Is GIFTIFAN? The K-Pop Fan Support App Behind Birthday Ads and Coffee Trucks

1. GIFTIFAN is a K-pop fan support platform for pooling money with other fans to send idols support like billboard ads and coffee trucks.
2. Dedicated fundraising accounts, card payments, and transparent settlement records let overseas fans join with confidence, and albums bought on GIFTIFAN count toward Hanteo Chart.
3. GIFTIFAN Store on Delivered Korea runs album group orders, and when orders reach a target quantity, benefits such as a free ad kick in.

If you’ve seen photos like these on social media, you may have wondered who organizes these projects—and how fans pay for them. Many are funded by fans who pool their money to support their favorite idols and actors. Platforms like GIFTIFAN help fans collect contributions and turn these ideas into reality.

What Kind of Platform Is GIFTIFAN?

GIFTIFAN is a support platform built specifically for K-pop stars. You can use it through the iOS app, the Android app, or the website.

In K-pop fandom, "support" means gifts or cheering events that fans send to their idols. Birthday ads, coffee trucks sent to filming sets, and anniversary events are the most common examples.

Usually, a single fan called a "chongdae"(총대), or organizer, opens the fundraiser, books the vendors, and handles the schedule. GIFTIFAN lets fans do all of that in one place, inside the platform.

GIFTIFAN supports Korean, English, Japanese, Indonesian, and Chinese. That's a big reason so many overseas fans take part.

What Do Fans Do on GIFTIFAN?

Fans on GIFTIFAN mostly use funding, which means raising money together for support projects. The most popular goal is putting up a billboard or subway ad for your bias's birthday or debut anniversary. Coffee trucks and gift support work the same way.

Voting is the other big feature. You collect energy through free charges and missions, then use it to vote for your favorite idol, and the idol who finishes first gets an ad.

You also get a vote certificate showing how much you've voted. Among fans, it works as a kind of proof of how dedicated you are.

On top of that, the "universe" community lets you share content with fans of the same idol around the world and plan support projects together.

The table below sums up GIFTIFAN's main features. In short, you fund ads and coffee trucks by card, vote with energy to win your idol an ad, track your votes with a certificate, and plan support with other fans in the Universe community.

Is GIFTIFAN Fundraising Safe Without a Fan Organizer?

GIFTIFAN fundraising is designed so you can join safely without relying on an individual organizer. When one fan runs a fundraiser alone, there's a lot to worry about.

The organizer has to share a personal bank account. Overseas fans struggle with bank transfers. And as a participant, it's hard to check whether the money is actually being used as promised.

GIFTIFAN handles these issues at the platform level. Each fundraiser runs through a dedicated account created inside the app, so no one has to expose a personal bank account.

Participants pay by card instead of bank transfer, which makes it easy for fans living outside Korea to join. You can check fundraising records in real time.

GIFTIFAN is also covered by surety insurance. That takes away much of the worry about someone running off with the money.

GIFTIFAN also coordinates with agencies and event vendors and manages the schedule until the event is over. If you've always felt organizing was too much responsibility, you'll appreciate this part.

Do Albums Bought on GIFTIFAN Count Toward Hanteo Chart?

Yes, album purchases on GIFTIFAN are counted on Hanteo Chart(한터차트). For a lot of fans, that's an important detail.

During comeback season, every fandom pays close attention to first-week sales. Whether your purchase shows up on the chart depends on where you buy, so most fans would rather buy somewhere that counts.

Support doesn't stop after one project, either. Each comeback brings another first-week sales push, birthdays and debut anniversaries come around every year, and you can vote every day.

That's why fans who try GIFTIFAN once tend to come back for the next round of support.
